Margaret River Accomodation - Bussells Bushland Cottages
When booking accomodation in Margaret River, we look for a place that is not only comfortable, clean and well maintained. But we also love staying in accomodation that is quiet, and peaceful. Bussells Bushland Cottages on Carter Road in Margaret River ticks all these boxes and is the perfect place for a getaway to Margaret River. The accomodation is close to enough to everything, but still away from all the noise and hustle and bustle of the crowds.
The Accommodation
Being only 5kms from the centre of Margaret River Bussells Bushland Cottages are a great spot to base yourself to explore the Margaret River Region. The original cottages were built from rammed earth and jarrah felled and milled on the property in the 1980s. They were all refurbished in 2010 and are still in great condition.
There are only 8 cottages on site, all set far away from each other to give you privacy. You can wander around the walk trails on this large 20 hectare bush block and admire all the flora, and of course the wildlife. There are plenty of wild kangaroos hopping around, bunnies bouncing away, native birds and of course kookaburras laughing at each other.
The Cottages
The cottages themselves were super comfortable with everything you need for a comfortable stay. An oven and cooktop is included in the well equipped kitchen (nothing worse than a kitchen with the bare minimum). We stayed in a 2 bedroom family cottage which has one queen bed and 2 sets of double bunks.
The accomodation was clean, with ceiling fans and a split system air conditioning unit to keep the unit a comfortable temperature all year round. Or take advantage of the wood heater for a cosy evening in winter. This was an absolutely perfect place to come home to after a day of exploring the Margaret River Region.
We really enjoyed our stay here, watching the kangaroos with their joeys through the window, and listening to the sounds of the birds. We would definitely stay at Bussells Bushland Cottages again and if you are staying in the area, recommend you stay here too.
